In a far-off planetary system, a fearsome, clandestine evil sinks its proverbial talons into the recesses of its targets' psyches, tempts with powers far greater than one could handle, and if listened to, are transformed into abominable fragments hellbent on domination of the star, and the universe at large. Unfortunately for them, they enter into a cursed cycle of reincarnation if thwarted, left to do the force's bidding until the end of time.Enter a special subset of agents: Cyberwitches, people from different dimensions tasked to combat this particular evil that may seep its way into places of time and space it shouldn't because while crossovers can be welcome in dimensions, the main rule abided by is that it shouldn't cause the fabric of reality to tear into nothingness—which this evil seeks to do.Sometimes, combatting this foe gets to be far too much, so much so that those in the ranks may find some way to get out for a while, or permanently. One such Cyberwitch takes the former method as a respite to modern times. Sure, they go back because it's their job to keep the trouble and ensuing monsters at bay, but there's something about finding a glimmer of hope still persisting in modern times that has them return to this planet's airspace, just to see how it's doing... and rekindle their second wind to continue the fight.Their partners in the business side of things are their Operator, Hibiscus; and one other known only by the rest of the branch as The Assistant. Hibiscus provides correspondence on the field by way of an evolving Mag toy gifted by an eccentric dimensional visitor, which was refurbished into a communication and ability augmentation device.After work, they're more than happy to have a self-care session, pass out, and dream the night away to the next shift. On nights they don't immediately do this, however, she taps into the leylines of the network and shares a few hours or so with other interdimensional listeners over games or radio time, and a drink.
